T.G.I.F., indeed! The weekend is just a day away and we here at FYC (not to be mistaken for FYCo, for Fuel Your Coding, which is the acronym for their site around the FUEL offices ;)) wanted to send you into the weekend with a little inspiration to carry you through til Monday. We have been contacted recently by some very talented folks, and while we cannot feature everyone in a single post, we did want to start shining our spotlight on a few of them here and there. So we gathered a few stylistically similar artists together that we have been blown away by their works to showcase. And by ‘stylistically similar’ we mean, their styles all kick ass! 30 Astonishing 3D Portraits

One of the best ways to really trip deeply into imagination is to check 3D works! Yes, 3D opens wide possibilities for stories, as we see new characters, still to have their story written. Seriously, thank God for 3D artists, like the ones featured here.

These renders are as amazing as it gets. The artists are getting more qualified each day, and it awes me to see their work! All of these were done by the fine artists from CGSociety. I totally recommend you to visit each artist's page by clicking the images because you'll get to see it in full view and also you'll get to see their full portfolio, which is really worth it. Is it made with Paint or Code? — Illusion 360

An art series entitled “Color of Nature,” from Erik Natzke’s solo show at Function13 | http://www.function13.ca/natzke

What is interesting about his work is that although it looks like traditional painting, Natzke works in program Adobe Flash to create these wonderful pieces.

"Erik Natzke is an interactive designer who is constantly trying to blur the lines between design and technology. With a keen awareness for how and where to push the limits of the medium without isolating the audience, Erik is a consistent risk-taker. Crediting his success with having the willingness to fail and the stubbornness not to give up, Natzke’s work ethic has pushed the boundaries of what previously had been considered possible. Imagination, adventure, and a desire to amaze as much as entertain are all part of the driving forces behind his work. (…)"
