Tomek Baginski and his work | Design your way

Tomek Baginski is the living proof that talent is simply the result of hard work and ambition. Everything started with Star Wars, as inspiration, of course. Probably you are curious what you have to study to be an animator like… Tomek, for example. Amazing or not you don’t necessarily have to study motion graphics in college. For example, our animator studied architecture. Of course, he learned by himself the things he knows know. He is most known for Cathedral, which was nominated for Oscar, and Fallen Art which received a BAFTA award for best short animation. Besides these two you will also see Undo and a trailer for the Witcher, for which he created the cinematics.

So Touch - Intelligent Surfaces

Julien Lescure, I'm the co-founder and CEO of So touch, the new born creative multi-touch company.

Tired of seeing the great level of digital creativity and digital marketing opportunities trapped into the frame of the personal computer, me and my partner in business decided to surf the multi-touch wave 6 months ago creating So touch and unleash the digital world into the real one! Three weeks ago we've done a great multi-touch installation for the onedotzero festival in London, which is a performance from all point of views (technical, creative and human) and we really want the world to know it!

So touch, the newborn creative multi-touch company, has this summer collaborated with onedotzero, the famous London based contemporary, digital arts organization, to design and develop the most creative and fully featured multi-touch application ever created as of today.

The New York Times: Turkish Edition

This is our one minute advertisement for the launch of Turkish Edition of The New York Times.

We constructed typographic versions of the most recognizable landmarks in Manhattan and Istanbul, and created a compact tour taking the audience from the New York Harbor all the way to the Bosphorus. Actual pages from the first issue of the newspaper were used to create the textures used in the scenes. The financial news page became NYSE and Wall Street, entertainment news turned into Times Square, and so on.

The result is 60 seconds of typographic goodness, mastered in 2K cinema resolution.

The Popcorn Makers: Disturb Me - The White Hotel

Disturb Me - 05/17/08 - The White Hotel

“Disturb Me” is an interactive installation between human and his environment. It is to make perceptible the reciprocal links and often forgotten contact, that we maintain with our environment.

The projection depends on the sound emitted by the spectators and creates consequently, a transitory and colored environment. The projected forms are revealed when in contact with surfaces of the room.

The senses are awakened, the room becomes alive.
